Endorsed Personal Assistant Pathway
If you are new to the role or not currently working as a PA, you can apply to join our Endorsed PA Pathway by completing a short Microsoft Forms enquiry.
This pathway supports you step-by-step into the role, starting with an introduction to personal assistance and progressing through essential training.
Core Training Includes
You will complete a range of essential modules, including:
Introduction to the role: Person-centred support
Safeguarding Adults
Moving and Handling
Basic First Aid Awareness
Health and Safety
Medication Awareness
Infection Prevention and Control
Food Hygiene
These modules ensure you have the knowledge and confidence to work safely and effectively.
Additional Learning Opportunities
You will also have access to additional training, including:
Autism Awareness
Dementia Awareness
Parkinson’s Awareness
Other specialist health and social care courses

Important Information
Please read before applying for our endorsement pathway.
Completing the Endorsed Personal Assistant Pathway does not guarantee employment.
However, it does increase your visibility and opportunities to be considered for work.
By completing the training and creating your Pen Portrait, your profile will be available on the PA Hub for direct payment employers to view and contact where suitable opportunities arise.
To be eligible for inclusion on the PA Hub, you will also need:
An enhanced DBS check
Two satisfactory references
Full support and guidance will be provided throughout this process.
We understand that many applicants are balancing work, family, education, or other commitments.
For this reason, all training within the Personal Assistant Pathway is designed to be flexible and accessible.
Training can be completed in a way that fits around your availability and current responsibilities.
You will have access to learning through:
Face-to-face sessions
Microsoft Teams delivery
Online e-learning modules
This blended approach means you can progress through the pathway at a pace that works for you, while still receiving full support and guidance throughout.
Once you have completed your core training, you will be supported to create a Pen Portrait.
This is a short personal profile that introduces you to potential employers and highlights:
Your skills and strengths
Your experience (if any)
The type of support you feel confident providing
Your profile will be added to the PA Hub and made visible to people seeking Personal Assistants.
